Ceramic Poppies fill the Tower of London for Charity

Have you seen what is happening at the Tower of London?

Ceramics artist Paul Cummins is set to open the largest ceramics exhibition ever seen in the UK.  His 886,246 ceramic poppies, representing the British and Commonwealth servicemen who died during the First World War, will cover at total of 16 acres at the Tower of London.  The exhibition begins the 5th of August and will grow as more poppies are installed during three events running until the 11th of September.

At the end of the exhibition, the poppies will be sold to the public at a price of £25 each.  It is anticipated that this unique event will raise £15million to 22million to aid numerous service related charities including The Royal British Legion, Confederation of Service Charities, Combat Stress, Coming Home, Help for Heroes and SSAFA.

We are delighted that our efforts raised all the funding needed in just a few short weeks to help make this event a reality.  The scale of this spectacular one-of-a-kind display reminds us all of the significance our servicemen made to our heritage.
